Why Create The AVCF Program

VC creates significant employment Venture Capital Creates Significant Employment: Venture capital has directly created 12.5 million jobs in the US or 9% of the 134.5 million person labor force.

Venture Capital Augments the GDP: In 2000, venture capital backed companies contributed greater than $1 trillion (11%) to the $10 trillion US GDP.

Venture Capital Creates Spending Power: Approximately 9% ($660 billion) of the US household disposable income in 2000 is attributable to companies backed by venture capital.
